He concluded his career with $840M AUM and sold his RIA for $12M. In 2010 he founded SCA $1.8B platform service supporting billing, reporting and trading for over 100 advisors.
Dr. Knight’s career has been as an academic, consultant and entrepreneur. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University where he graduated with Highest Honors. He received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University. In his academic career he has served as Professor at the Stanford Business school, held an endowed Professorship in Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Austin, and was appointed Dean of the Business School at Seattle Pacific University.
Ken's consulting/advising career consisted of involvement with leading businesses, governments, and not-for-profit organizations. These include General Motors, Shell, Bristol Myers, McKinsey & Company, American Institute of CPAs, and RAND Corporation. In addition, he has worked with dozens of entrepreneurial ventures. His career as an entrepreneur started while at Stanford as founder and president of Lex Systems (sold to Systems Development Corporation), and continues today as CEO of Cana’s Feast Winery and Eagle Investments, Inc.
Layne has an extensive career in the financial services industry. Currently serving as the Director of Capital Markets at E2P Group, LLC, Layne brings a wealth of experience spanning over 35 years.
Layne's journey began at an early age when he developed a technology platform called AccessPoint. This groundbreaking technology revolutionized the delivery of mortgage-backed security products, facilitating the seamless transfer of approximately $4.5 billion of MBS products annually between community banks, mortgage brokers, and Wall Street Banks.
Over the years, Layne's accomplishments have earned him widespread recognition, which has led to cultivating an extensive capital markets network within the financial services industry. He has been honored with prestigious accolades, including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Award for Financial Services, the Deloitte and Touché Technology Fast 50, and the Stevie Award for Financial Services Organization of the Year. Additionally, his contributions led to the receipt of Inc Magazine's top 150 publicly traded companies in the United States.
Thane is currently CEO and CIO of CWC Advisors, LLC. Prior to founding CWC in 2000, Thane was the Director of Marketing and Client Service for The Crabbe Huson Group. His professional experience spans more than 35 years in the investment industry. He has a broad range of experience including generation and management of institutional and advisor accounts, portfolio management, corporate management and operations. Thane received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington.
